JACKSON, Mississippi — The Mississippi Development Authority will lead a delegation of Mississippi companies on a business development mission to South Africa east Asia March 23-27.
MDA officials say in a news release that the trip will include stops in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.
MDA executive director Brent Christensen says South Africa is Mississippi's top export location in Africa. He says the trip will help companies looking to do business in the market.
MDA works with potential buyers, distributors and businesses from Southeast Asia before meeting with members of the state delegation.
The Small Business Administration-funded Mississippi State Trade Export Promotion program reimburses eligible businesses up to 50 percent of their travel costs and provides interpretation services.
The deadline to register is Feb. 13.
