WILMINGTON, Delaware — Delaware State Police say they have arrested two suspects in a string of armed robberies in the Wilmington area.

Police say troopers arrested 23-year-old Christopher Tigani on Thursday around 9:30 a.m. when he was seen running toward the entrance of a bank with gloves and a blue scarf pulled over his face. Police say he was apprehended and that police discovered that he had a loaded gun.

Police say an investigation revealed that Tigani had arrived at the bank in a Honda that was parked in a nearby subdivision. The car was being driven by 21-year-old Christopher Nepi.

Police say detectives linked the men to five robberies and attempted robberies in the area dating back to May. Both men were arrested and charged with robbery.
