WIDENER, Arkansas — A truck driver from Tennessee died of injuries he suffered when his rig crashed on Interstate 40 in eastern Arkansas.

Arkansas State Police say 40-year-old Jason Mitchell of Milan, Tennessee, died at a Forrest City hospital following the crash.

A state police report says Mitchell was eastbound near Widener just after 10 p.m. Tuesday when the semi crossed the median and westbound lanes of traffic then crashed into a ditch embankment.
