Man struck, killed by train in Mansfield; MBTA and Amtrak trains delayed

MANSFIELD, Massachusetts — MBTA and Amtrak trains south of Boston were delayed after a man was struck and killed by a train in Mansfield.

T police say a man was struck by an eastbound Amtrak train at about 11 a.m. Thursday. His name was not released.

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority says some commuter trains that use that line were delayed up to two hours while police investigated.

An Amtrak spokeswoman says some trains were delayed for more than two hours, but there are no current delays.

Foul play is not suspected.
