INDIANAPOLIS
Retired Indiana State Police Lt. Col. Al Walker, 91, passed away with his family at his side Oct. 21, 2016. He was a resident of Indianapolis.
Al was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Margie (Slinkard) Walker.
Survivors include a daughter, Lynn A. Meyer (Joe); sons, Dan M. Walker and Larry J. Walker (Linda); grandchildren, Sonda L. Sorg (Jeff), Dana J. Willing (Joe) and Joseph A. Meyer; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Marcedes Joslin; and brothers, John Walker and Paul Walker.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Walker.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, with visitation starting at 9 a.m. at Indian Creek Christian Church, 6430 S. Franklin Road, Indianapolis.
