Worker killed in fall after electrical wire shears off truck's bucket

STAUNTON, Virginia — Police say a worker died after he fell 83 feet while cutting electrical wires.

Multiple media outlets report that police identified the victim as 22-year-old Dustin Hamilton Killen of Lexington, Alabama.

Augusta County sheriff's deputies say Killen was in the bucket of a truck when the accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The wires sprang back and sheared the bucket off the truck, and Killen fell to the ground.

Deputies say Killen was an employee of Irby Construction.
