SALT LAKE CITY — The oldest son of John Brickman Wall, a Utah doctor accused of killing his ex-wife, is expected to take the stand Wednesday in the man's murder trial.

Pelle (PELLA) Wall fueled speculation about his dad in the months after the 2011 death of cancer researcher Uta von Schwedler in Salt Lake City.

She was found drowned in her bathtub with cuts to her wrist and leg and an overdose of Xanax in her system. A medical examiner stopped short of ruling her death a homicide or a suicide.

Though police questioned 51-year-old John Wall early on, he denied being involved.

Family and friends pushed for more investigation and he was arrested more than a year after her death.
