PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island — A 22-year-old Providence woman was stabbed during a fight with another woman as the city's annual PrideFest celebration was going on downtown.

Providence police say Kayesha Garcia was stabbed in her left hip Saturday night by 19-year-old Amber Oliver of Johnston. Authorities told The Providence Journal (http://bit.ly/1m12dSW ) that Oliver stabbed Garcia as Garcia fought with a third woman.

It's not clear what sparked the fight, but police say the three women know each other. Garcia and Oliver were found by the Providence Biltmore.

Oliver was charged with felony assault and is detained without bail. It's not clear if she has a lawyer.

Garcia was treated at Rhode Island Hospital and charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting with the third woman, who wasn't identified.
