Tillis' campaign says Haley plans to attend an event Thursday night in Fayetteville for the North Carolina state House speaker.
Haley and Tillis both benefited this week from private fundraising and public events with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who visited the Carolinas for both Republicans. Haley is seeking re-election this November.
Incumbent Sen. Kay Hagan had a large campaign fundraising advantage over Tillis entering the summer. Hagan should get a money boost later this month when former President Bill Clinton pitches for her in Chapel Hill.
