2 people ejected from horse-drawn buggy in Pennsylvania after car hits it, flips it over

KUTZTOWN, Pennsylvania — State police say two people were taken to a hospital following an accident involving a motor vehicle and a horse-drawn buggy in eastern Pennsylvania.

Trooper David Beohm (BAYM) said the motor vehicle was attempting to pass the buggy in Kutztown on Thursday afternoon when the driver tried to return to the right-hand lane to avoid an oncoming vehicle. In the process, he says the vehicle clipped the buggy, causing it to flip over.

Beohm says a man and a woman in the buggy were ejected. He says he doesn't know the extent of their injuries but that they were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital.
