FORT SMITH, Arkansas — Three members of Arkansas' congressional delegation have announced a federal grant for the Fort Smith Fire Department.

Sens. Mark Pryor and John Boozman and Rep. Steve Womack announced Wednesday that the department will receive $689,572 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Assistance to Firefighters Grant.

The grant is to be used to purchase face pieces and self-contained breathing apparatuses.
