ASPEN, Colorado — With another storm hitting Colorado's mountains, Independence Pass has been closed for the season.
The Aspen Times (http://bit.ly/1GP20AD ) reports the pass had been set to close Saturday, but the Colorado Department of Transportation moved that up because of the storm and because snow plows will likely be needed elsewhere. The pass was closed at 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Aspen has been getting some snow from this week's arctic storm system but it's been relatively warmer there than in eastern Colorado.
