MILTON, Vermont — A man and a woman are facing charges in connection with a robbery at a pharmacy in Milton, Vermont.

Police said the Kinney Drug Store reported a man walked in, said he had a weapon and fled with Oxycontin on Monday morning after giving the pharmacist a note demanding prescription pills. No one was hurt.

Police later arrested 30-year-old Leroy Hughes of Fairfield on armed robbery and drug possession charges. Police said he has four active arrest warrants in Vermont. Also arrested was 34-year-old Siobhan Bird of Fairfax on a charge of being an accessory to armed robbery.

Both were scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday. It could not be verified whether they had lawyers.
