CAMDEN, New Jersey — A Camden man accused of fatally shooting a former Marine who was trying to break up a fight outside a city bar has been convicted of aggravated manslaughter.
Camden County prosecutors say 33-year-old Darrell Crone was also convicted Tuesday on three weapons counts and an attempted murder charge for pointing a gun at a crowd of people and firing it as they fled.
Crone was charged in the December 2013 death of 27-year-old Timothy Loper Jr., a Pine Hill resident who had served in Afghanistan.
Crone now faces up to 70 years in prison when he's sentenced June 18.
