AMITYVILLE, New York — A man has been fatally struck by a Long Island Rail Road train in Amityville.
A spokesman for the railroad says the unidentified man was struck by an eastbound train at 12:45 p.m. Saturday.
Service was suspended between Seaford and Babylon following the death. It was restored later Saturday but trains were bypassing Amityville.
