DETROIT — Detroit says accounts created to order pre-home sale inspections were recently targeted by what officials say is a low-level computer security breach.
The city announced Thursday night that the affected online accounts are through the City of Detroit Buildings, Safety Engineering and Environmental Department.
A database containing about 5,110 records included non-sensitive information such as addresses of properties and estimated home values. The city says no personally identifying information was included in the database, nor was credit card or other payment information.
The city says it's notifying those with an account via email about the breach.
