NEW ORLEANS — Arctic air grips Louisiana with below freezing temperatures being report across the state.
At 5 a.m. CST Thursday, temperatures ranged from 19 degrees at Shreveport and 18 at Monroe to 27 at Lake Charles and 23 at New Orleans.
When you factor in the wind, the feel like temperature at Shreveport 1 degree, 8 at Monroe, 15 at Lake Charles and 11 at New Orleans.
The high temperatures in Louisiana Thursday will range from the upper 30 in the north to the low 40s in the south.
Forecasters say the northern part of the state could see some freezing rain by the weekend.
