PHOENIX — Gasoline prices around Arizona have fallen slightly at the pumps this week, but still are above the national average.
Officials with Triple-A Arizona said Thursday the average statewide price for unleaded regular gasoline is $2.80 a gallon. That's down by 3 cents from last week.
This week's national average is $2.67 per gallon, down by almost 7 cents from last week.
Triple-A analysts say regional price volatility has lessened in California and that has helped bring down gasoline averages in Arizona.
Tucson has Arizona's lowest average gasoline price at $2.48 a gallon and Flagstaff the highest at $2.99 per gallon.
Alabama has the lowest average gas prices among states in the continental U.S. at $2.30 a gallon with California has the highest at $3.80.
