CONCORD, California — A jury has convicted a San Francisco Bay Area elementary school teacher on molestation charges months after another jury acquitted him of charges involving three former students.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/1CfBBLI) a jury on Tuesday found Joseph Martin guilty of molesting seven boys between 2007 and 2013.

Martin had been charged with more than 100 counts of molestation involving students between 11 and 17 years old. The 46-year-old taught fourth and fifth grade at Woodside Elementary School and had worked in the Mt. Diablo Unified School District in Contra Costa County since 1991.

A jury in August acquitted Martinez on molestation charges involving three former students and deadlocked on allegations lodged by 11 others.

The judge declared a mistrial after the jurors said they were hopelessly deadlocked.
