16-year-old boy dies from gunshot to the head in Orlando; no arrests made


ORLANDO, Florida — The Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner's office says a 16-year-old boy shot in the head has died from his injuries.

The Orlando Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1BZSFkV ) reports Carldarious Patrick died Tuesday at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Police say they found Patrick on the ground of an apartment complex with a gunshot wound to the head Monday evening. The shooting happened days before Patrick's 17th birthday June 15.

Police say two nearby cars had bullet holes and no one has been arrested. It is unclear what led to the shooting.

A report says the suspect may have been in a gray or taupe Pontiac Grand Prix. No arrests have been made.
