WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina — A third person has died as the result of a six-vehicle chain-reaction wreck on U.S. 52 north of Winston-Salem last month.

Area media outlets report that 55-year-old Felicia Hickman of Mount Airy died on Friday as a result of injuries suffered in the Oct. 30 wreck.

Her husband, 51-year-old Jesse Hickman was also killed as was 9-year-old Jeremy Crymes of Minooka, Illinois.

The accident happened in a construction zone in the town of Rural Hall. A tractor-trailer truck and five other vehicles were involved and eight other people were injured.
