BERLIN — Hamburger SV drew 1-1 with Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga on Sunday but was left to rue missed chances as it remained in the relegation zone.
Roberto Firmino struck the post from distance in the 55th for Hoffenheim, the closest either side came to scoring in the second half.
Baumann denied Lasogga and then gathered the rebound from Nicolai Mueller in the 64th, minutes before Lasogga went close from a free kick.
Paderborn was hosting Eintracht Frankfurt later.
