BISMARCK, North Dakota — Recent freezing rain and snow led to an icy commute for residents in parts of North Dakota.

Officials in the Canadian province of Manitoba on Wednesday morning closed a stretch of Highway 75 due to blowing snow and poor visibility. The highway was closed from St. Agatha to the U.S. border, where it becomes Interstate 29. The road was reopened about midday.
