CUSTER STATE PARK, South Dakota — The state has released details on Custer State Park's 49th Annual Buffalo Roundup and Arts Festival.
The roundup is the morning of Friday, Sept. 26, and the arts festival opens that afternoon and runs through Sunday, Sept. 28.
Custer State Park superintendent Matt Snyder says more than 10,000 people come to watch the park's 1,300 buffalo be rounded up into corrals.
Both events are free, but a South Dakota state park entrance license is required to enter the park on Saturday and Sunday.
