TUPELO, Mississippi — Tupelo police have arrested a 14-year-old, accused of calling in bomb threats to a school earlier this month.
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports (http://bit.ly/1DCDRvG ) Tupelo Middle School received a call around 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 9, reporting a bomb on the school campus.
Students and staff evacuated the buildings and stood outside for about an hour.
Police and firefighters searched the school and determined it was safe to return to the buildings, and classes resumed about an hour later.
An investigation into the calls led to the arrest of the student. Because the student is a juvenile, the name was not release. The case will be presented to the Lee County Youth Court.
