GUTHRIE, Oklahoma — The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting several small earthquakes in central Oklahoma, including one with a preliminary magnitude of 4.1 near Guthrie in Logan County

The Logan County Sheriff's Office says there are no reports of injury or damage as a result of Monday's quakes.

The 4.1 magnitude quake was recorded at 5:16 p.m. nine miles southeast of Guthrie — about 20 miles northeast of Oklahoma City. A 3.7 magnitude quake was recorded in the same area just after 4 p.m. and a magnitude 3.3 quake was recorded in the area at 2:47 p.m.

Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest that are felt by humans and damage is not likely from earthquakes below magnitude 4.0.
