LAKE HAVASU CITY, Arizona — A Lake Havasu City man charged in the fatal stabbing of another man has pleaded guilty in the case.

The Today's News-Herald reported (http://bit.ly/1zZYOzb) Tuesday that court records show 26-year-old Johnathan Kroll entered a plea of guilty to manslaughter and aggravated assault last week.

Kroll was initially charged with second-degree murder for the October 2013 stabbing of 23-year-old Brandon Bonnett.

As part of the plea agreement, Kroll is expected to serve up to 12 ½ years in prison. A charge of assault with a dangerous weapon was dropped.

Authorities say Kroll and Bonnett had gotten into a fight at the home they shared before Kroll stabbed the victim.

Kroll fled the scene but surrendered to police six hours later.

He is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 22.
