NORTH ADAMS, Massachusetts — Two occupants of a car pulled over for speeding in North Adams are heading to court to face drug charges.

Authorities say 40-year-old Toni Clifford and 39-year-old Ronald Schneider are scheduled to be arraigned Monday in Northern Berkshire District Court on charges of possession of heroin with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug law charges.

The Berkshire Eagle (http://bit.ly/1xK2cMt ) reports that the car they were in was pulled over on Friday afternoon. Police recovered more than 300 bags of heroin and prescription pills from the vehicle and on their persons. Police say the drugs had an estimated street value of more than $5,000.

Three other people in the car will be summoned to court to face charges, but were not arrested.
