Rossville beats Wichita Collegiate 20-19 for the Class 3A championship


HUTCHINSON, Kansas — Senior quarterback Tucker Horak rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns as Rossville came from behind to beat Wichita Collegiate 20-19 for the Class 3A football championship on Saturday.

Horak scored on 5- and 8-yard runs and a 65-yard fumble recovery.

Wichita Collegiate (13-1) led 19-7 with 2:40 left in the third quarter after Austin Waddell scored on a 1-yard run. Waddell also hit on a 24-yard pass to Jack Larsen and a 60-yard pass to Nathaniel Burgoyne.

The come-from-behind victory gave Rossville (14-0) a second straight state title.
