All deer gun licenses issued in North Dakota for fall hunt; archery licenses still available

BISMARCK, North Dakota — North Dakota has issued all of the 43,275 deer gun licenses being made available for this fall's hunt.

Game and Fish Department Licensing Manager Randy Meissner says archery licenses can still be purchased through the end of the bow season on Jan. 3.

The number of available deer licenses this year is the lowest since 1978, due to a low population of the animals.

The deer gun season opens at noon Central time on Friday, Nov. 6, and runs through Nov. 22.
