INKSTER, Michigan — Police say a man fatally shot a woman with a semi-automatic handgun following a dispute at an abandoned house in suburban Detroit.
State police say in a statement that the 26-year-old woman had been at the house with the 39-year-old man when she left on Thursday. Police say the man got on a bike and rode past the woman, getting off the bike before firing multiple rounds at her.
A concealed pistol license holder who saw the shooting got out of his vehicle and tried to intervene before being shot at by the 39-year-old. The person returned fire, but neither was struck. Police say the 39-year-old rode away and was later taken into custody.
Names of those involved weren't immediately released.
