Police seek 2 suspects in attempted rapes, in the Bronx and Queens

NEW YORK — The NYPD is searching for the man they say followed a woman out of a Bronx subway station and attempted to rape her.

It happened just after midnight Wednesday as a 20-year-old woman was leaving the Bedford Park Boulevard subway station.

Police say the man followed her to her apartment building. Once inside, he grabbed her by the neck and commanded her to take her shorts off.

Police say she was choked until she went unconscious, but was able to fight him off when she regained consciousness.

Police say a similar incident occurred in Queens Thursday morning. They say another suspect followed a woman to the door of her apartment where he attempted to pull down her pants. She fended him off and he fled.
