The $4.5 million plant will process pulse crops such as lentils, field peas and chickpeas. CEO and President Steven Brown tells the Capital Journal (http://bit.ly/1plrsRL ) that production employees will earn $15 an hour, with managers earning more.

The company plans to start construction of the plant this fall and begin processing yellow field peas early next year.
