BILOXI, Mississippi — Police say a Biloxi man is accused of murder after shooting a 26-year-old man multiple times.
Biloxi Police Lt. Christopher De Back tells The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/1rq3BRW) officers responded to the incident Saturday afternoon.
De Back says witnesses told police that Anthony Wheaton of Biloxi and 45-year-old Rodise Jenkins III got into a disagreement, which resulted in the shooting. He says Wheaton and Jenkins were acquaintances.
De Back says Wheaton sustained several gunshot wounds. He was transported to Biloxi Regional Hospital, and Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove pronounced him dead at 2:58 p.m.
De Back said Jenkins, of Biloxi, fled the scene, but was arrested a short time later.
Jenkins was charged with murder charge. His bond was set at $1 million.
It was unclear whether he has an attorney.
