RALEIGH, North Carolina — Tre Harbison ran for 192 yards and three touchdowns to help Shelby Crest beat Havelock 24-3 in Saturday's Class 3-A North Carolina High School Athletic Association championship game.
Harbison ran for a pair of 1-yard scores and then a 36-yard score midway through the third for the Chargers (16-0), who nearly doubled Havelock's yardage while forcing three turnovers.

The Rams (14-2) were averaging about 52 points coming in, but finished with 157 total yards. Havelock had won three straight state titles and was in its sixth final.
Havelock's Tony Sharpe, who had rushed for about 2,100 yards and 37 touchdowns coming in, finished with 51 yards on 13 carries. Travis Sabdo threw for 100 yards.
