FORT CARSON, Colorado — Fort Carson officials have rescheduled a ceremony to welcome home about 125 soldiers who have been in Afghanistan since March.

The ceremony originally scheduled for Friday night is now set to be held at the Special Events Center on post at 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

The soldiers with the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division were deployed to southern Afghanistan to train and help Afghan National Security Forces. They also helped set the security conditions for Afghanistan's presidential and runoff elections.

The soldiers were initially going to be deployed for nine months, but they are returning early as part of the phased reduction of troops in Afghanistan.
