LINCOLN, Nebraska — Thomas Pivovar and Hunter Smith accounted for three touchdowns apiece and combined for 214 yards rushing as top-ranked Omaha Skutt won its second straight Class B championship with a 40-10 victory over No. 4 Elkhorn on Tuesday night.
Pivovar ran for 109 yards and two TDs and also scored on a 61-yard pass from Isaiah Ramsey. Smith rushed for 105 yards and three TDs.
The SkyHawks beat Elkhorn 24-21 in their final regular-season game. They took control of the title game after Elkhorn opened the scoring with a field goal.
Skutt (12-1) rushed for 328 of its 416 total yards, converted 7 of 11 third downs and held a seven-minute advantage in time of possession.
Quinn Nietfeld rushed for 70 yards to lead the Antlers (10-3), who were in the state final for the fourth time in nine years.
