LACKAWANNA, New York — A 21-year-old man has admitted stabbing his estranged girlfriend to death inside her Buffalo-area apartment earlier this year.

Erie County District Attorney Frank Sedita said Monday that Damoni Hall pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and faces a prison sentence of 25 years to life.

Hall was charged after 26-year-old Tequila Suter's body was found in Lackawanna on Feb. 16. She had been stabbed 39 times.

Sentencing is set for Jan. 30.
