BALTIMORE — Baltimore police say an officer shot an armed suspect in the leg during a foot chase.

Police say the suspect's injuries are not life-threatening.

They say he bailed out of his car after officers tried to stop the vehicle at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of Turpin Lane.

None of the officers was hurt.

Police say the officers involved will be placed on administrative duty, pending the outcome of a preliminary investigation.
