MERIDEN, Connecticut — A fiery crash has closed Interstate 91 in Meriden and authorities say it could take hours to clear the accident scene.

State police say a fuel tanker rolled over on the northbound side of the highway and burst into flames after 9:30 a.m.

Police closed both sides of the highway and were setting up detours.

Meriden police say the truck's driver was taken by private vehicle to a local hospital. The driver's name and condition have not been released.
