Man, woman, infant rescued from disabled boat on Chippewa River


CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wisconsin — Firefighters rescued a man, woman and infant from a boat that was taking on water in the Chippewa River.

Authorities say the boat hit a rock bed on the river about 8 p.m. Wednesday night. The 26-year-old man, 21-year-old woman and 5-week-old baby were brought to shore safely by Chippewa Falls firefighters.

WEAU-TV (http://bit.ly/1KPMLGw ) says the boat was about 150 yards from shore.
