TRENTON, New Jersey — A central New Jersey man who admitted possessing sexually explicit images of a 12-year old Pennsylvania girl with whom he had an online relationship has been sentenced to prison.
Chad Weber was sentenced Wednesday to 14 months in prison after pleading guilty in April to possessing child porn, and he also will have to register as a sex offender. The 23-year-old Colts Neck man was also sentenced to 10 years of supervised release and ordered to pay $5,570 in restitution.
Prosecutors say law enforcement agents learned in April 2013 that Weber had been communicating with the girl. The agents obtained copies of various chat logs and other internet-based messages, many of which were sexually explicit.
Weber and the victim also traded sexually explicit photos of each other online and discussed them in online chats.
