DETROIT — The trial of a Detroit-area man charged with arranging his wife's murder has resumed after a few days off because of health problems.

Bob Bashara is back in court Monday, and jurors again are hearing testimony. The trial was suspended last Wednesday after he became ill.

Bashara, a former Rotary Club president, is accused of getting a handyman to kill his wife, Jane Bashara of Grosse Pointe Park. Prosecutors say he wanted to clear the way for relationships with other women.

Jurors have heard about Bashara's nickname, "Master Bob," and a sex dungeon.

Bashara is in prison for trying to have handyman Joe Gentz killed. Gentz is in prison after pleading guilty to strangling Jane Bashara.

Jurors on Monday heard about Bashara's wish to get rid of Gentz.
