Highway Patrol looks for driver after hit-and-run accident claims life of Hartsville woman

HARTSVILLE, South Carolina — The Highway Patrol is looking for the driver who hit and killed a Hartsville woman in a hit-and-run accident.

Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee tells local media outlets that 32-year-old Stacy McLeod died over the weekend following the accident that happened near Hartsville last Thursday night.

Hardee says McLeod died at a Florence hospital on Saturday.

Authorities are looking for a Mazda with front-end damage in the incident.
