STEELTON, Pennsylvania — Police say a 25-year-old south-central Pennsylvania man shot during a home invasion fatally wounded one of his attackers.
Steelton Police Chief John King tells PennLive.com that investigators believe Monday's shooting was self-defense and no charges have been filed.
Police say a pair of men accosted a man and 38-year-old woman returning home, tied their hands and forced them inside. The man was able to get his hands free, grabbed one of the assailants' guns and shot one of the two.
The wounded attacker died at a hospital. The other man fled and is still on the loose.
The male resident was shot, but his injuries aren't life-threatening.
Authorities didn't identify the attackers or the victims.
The Dauphin County coroner has scheduled a news conference on the shooting for Tuesday afternoon.
