COLONIE, New York — Authorities say a 33-year-old man has been arrested in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed an Albany-area woman in April.
Town of Colonie police say Lamar Jackson is charged with leaving the scene of an incident, tampering with physical evidence and driving without a license.
Investigators say the Albany man was driving a Nissan Altima on April 13 when he struck Renee Bruneau and took off. Bruneau later died.
Jackson is also accused of concealing the vehicle to hinder the investigation.
He's been jailed on a parole violation since April 16 and was arraigned in Colonie Town Court on Monday.
It's unclear if he has an attorney who could comment on the charges.
