BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — Baton Rouge police are investigating the deaths of two men.
Cpl. Don Coppola Jr. says 19-year-old Lester Reed got into a verbal altercation with an acquaintance, 32-year-old Tevin Crump just after 9 p.m. Sunday.
He says the fight escalated, and Reed stabbed Crump with a kitchen knife. Crump then shot Reed.
Coppola said Crump died on the scene and Reed was pronounced died at a Baton Rouge-area hospital.
Police did not say what the men were fighting about.
