GILLETTE, Wyoming — Jet flights between Gillette and Denver are scheduled to begin in February.
Gillette-Campbell County Airport Executive Director Jay Lundell says reservations for the jet flights are now available online.
Campbell County commissioners approved a $3.5 million air service subsidy in September. SkyWest Airlines verbally agreed at the time to bring jet service to Gillette by spring 2015.
The airline also plans to begin offering jet flights between Gillette and Salt Lake City in February.
The Gillette News-Record reports (http://bit.ly/1JVq9XI ) the jet planes are faster and carry more passengers compared to the commercial turboprop planes currently serving the airport.
