SPOKANE, Washington — The National Weather Service says parts of Eastern Washington enjoyed unseasonably warm temperatures Tuesday with Spokane's high temperature of 67 degrees breaking a record for the date that was set in 1892.

That previous Spokane record for March 10 was 65 degrees.

Moses Lake in central Washington also hit 67, a record for that city. Weather Service meteorologist Jonathan Fox in Spokane says some records in Moses Lake go back to 1949.

Much of Western Washington saw temperatures in the 50s although Vancouver hit 64 degrees.

Forecasters say cooler, wetter weather is rolling in, at least through Wednesday.
