DETROIT — Police say an 18-year-old woman is dead and three young men are wounded in a shooting in Detroit.

The shooting was reported around 11 p.m. Wednesday on the city's east side. Sgt. Eren Stephens says that the four were outside a home when a vehicle carrying several people drove up. She says a passenger got out and fired a high-powered weapon.

The Detroit News, WWJ-AM and WDIV-TV report the woman is identified as Aundrea Garland. Her mother Margaret Garland says of those responsible for the shooting that "you took my baby. My baby didn't deserve that."
